Who called me? Free reverse phone lookup
Paste any phone number. The box works out whether it's a US, Canadian, Caribbean, Mexican or international number and lines up the free lookups for it: carrier, line type, caller name and scam reports.

9 tools, free ones first
Each one opens the tool's own site. Free tools cost nothing; freemium tools show some results free and charge for the rest. Licensed PI items need a licensed investigator.

What to expect
What you can find for free
- The carrier, and whether it's a cell, landline or internet (VoIP) number
- A name, from the voicemail greeting or a listed directory
- Scam reports from other people the number has called
- Pages and posts that list the number, searched in all three common formats
Where free tools stop
Free sites only show names tied to listed or published numbers. Subscriber names and number history come from regulated databases that only licensed investigators can use, and only for a permitted purpose. The phone company releases its own records only by subpoena.
Tips
- Search all three formats in quotes: 305-555-0142, (305) 555-0142 and 3055550142. The box does this for you.
- Don't call back a number that rang once from area code 268, 284, 473, 649, 664, 767, 809, 829, 849 or 876. Those are international, and the FTC warns about one-ring scams from them.
- Internet numbers like Google Voice or TextNow are free to create and hard to trace. Treat them with extra caution.
